Snow in York too! Big fat crunchy flakes, pure and white and perferct, every one. We had a snowball fight outside the lab, made mini snowmen and generally embarrassed ourselves in front of the undergraduates.
This is near work, on my walk home.

On Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning we got a huge fucking DUMP of snow. We haven’t had any snow worth mention since the beginning of winter, it’s been a very strange climate indeed. All of a sudden we get this HUGE snow storm, something around a foot worth, in a matter of hours. It was quite incredible. It’s always impressive the amount of carnage these storms wreak. I didn’t drive home from work that night – a wise move I think.
The snow is nice though. Wonderfully light and fluffy!
